Bournemouth Sports secured their second win of the month beating Wimborne Town Reserves 3-0 on a wet afternoon at the Wyatt Homes Stadium.
It was the visitors that started brightly and went close on several occasions as front pairing Dan Hayward & Taylor Webb both missed decent chances. Midway through the half a Billy Mcdermott corner was headed home by midfielder Luke Street. The hosts were enjoying a lot of possession, but were unable to break down a resilient Bournemouth who looked disciplined with their approach and shape.
Veteran Bournemouth goalkeeper Marc Davies was rarely troubled and the hosts best chance of half came from a direct free kick just outside the box and subsequent corner which was cleared away. HT 0-1
Into the second half and Bournemouth almost scored from the restart, but Taylor Webb saw his effort saved. However moments later he would make amends firing home following a through ball to put his side 2-0 ahead.
At this point the men from Chapel Gate were in control of the game and midway through the half player coach Joe White converted from close range at the far post following a cross / shot from Taylor Webb.
Bournemouth gave debuts to winger Jahrel Campbell and full back Pat Correia and both looked very impressive in their roles.
Wimborne finished the game well by having more possession and creating several opportunities. Marc Davies pulled off a good save late on before having to leave the field due to an injury whilst other chances created by the hosts late on were squandered ensuring Bounemouth held out for the 3-0 win.
