Weather Conditions 5 DPL 4 .........
It was a narrow win today for the poor conditions experienced at 5 of our Scheduled games, with 3 games being called off by the match referees on arrival at grounds, pitch conditions, player safety and the forecasted worsening weather conditions throughout the afternoon today played a huge part in the decision making.
Of the 4 games that did take place, Dorchester Sports FC beat Swanage Town & Herston FC 2-0 at the Avenue Stadium with both Sport's goals coming in the 1st half from, Brin Doyle & Shaun Bessant, just across the ridgeway, Balti Sports FC welcomed close neighbours Portland United FC Reserves to the College with the Blues being handed a lesson as the hosts ran out convincing 7-1 winners, scoring for Sports were Troy Walbridge [x3] Matt Chambers, Matt Harvey, Callum Allison & Jonny Jay Rowe, replying for the Islanders was Max Fisher. Bournemouth Sports FC picked up a decent 3-1 win on the road at Potterne Park against hosts Verwood Town FC, scoring for the visitors were Max Norris & a brace from Rob Howard with ????? scoring for the hosts, finally their was a 7 goal thriller eventually edged 4-3 to Bournemouth Electric FC at Wimborne Town FC Reserves, scoring for Electric were Oliver Bird [x2] & Nassim Meddah [x2] replying for Town were Kester Wilson, Taylor Broadley & Maksym Boichuk.
