
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

It’s as you were at the top as Sturminster Newton beat Wimborne Town Reserves 3-1 at Barnetts Field with their goals coming from Aaron Lane-Laney, Ash Clarke & Will Guppy, scoring for the visitors was Brad Waters, hard on their heels are Westland Sports who beat Bridport Reserves 3-1 at Alvington, scoring for the hosts were Sam Smith, Duncan Macabe & Tim Trevett. Blandford United picked up a deserved 2-0 win at home against Sturminster Marshall with the royals goals being scored by Reuben Stanley & Joe Freak, both in the 1st half. In a tight game at Turin Moor, Merley CS beat host Poole Borough 1-0 courtesy of a George Coleman strike. Dorchester Sports and Holt United played out a 0-0 draw at the Avenue whilst game of the day was at the Camp & Satherley Stadium as Portland United Reserves & Swanage Town & Herston played out a 9 goal thriller with the Swans edging the game 5-4. The lead changed hands 4 times with the Blues goals coming from Troy Walbridge x2 & Jamie Cleaver x2 with the visitors goals coming from Charlie Brassington X2, Abraham Adejosi, Jack Hughes & Ocean Smith.
Balti Sports v Shaftesbury Reserves was POSTPONED due to the away side being unable to field a side. This matter will now be placed before the LMC at its next meeting.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
