Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Only 2 games were playable today as the wet conditions claimed the other 5 scheduled matches ....
Goals from Owen Reynolds & Dan Brown saw Merley Cobham Sports claim a 2-1 win at Chapel Gate against Bournemouth Sports, with Sam Darlow netting for the hosts. Meanwhile at Barnett's Field, Sturminster Newton welcomed Dorchester Sports with the hosts winning 4-0 to keep the pressure on Blandford United FC at the top of the table, scoring for the hosts were Nick Thompson, Ash Clarke, Nick Hewitt & an OG.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
