
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

LEAGUE
Attention today turned to the bottom of the table as Bridport Reserves welcomed Balti Sports with the visitors winning 3-2, scoring for Sports were ..... replying for the hosts were Gareth Will & Robin Jones, whilst at the New Cuthbury, Wimborne Town Reserves beat Poole Borough 2-1, scoring for Town were Callum Clarke & Kimanie Edward, whilst Tony O'Callaghan notched for Borough. Holt United returned to winning ways after a narrow 1-0 victory at Blandford United with Sam Bennett scoring for the Bulls, finally at Raleigh Grove, hosts Sherborne Town Reserves picked up a deserved 3-1 win against Bournemouth Electric, scoring for the Zebras were Jamie Russo & Josh Haskett [x2] with Faustino Maher getting Electric's consolation.
LEAGUE CUP - SEMI FINALS
We have our finalists .....
Dorchester Sports made it through after a Dylan Ellis strike saw them win in the Purbeck 1-0 at Swanage Town & Herston, joining them in the final will be Hamworthy United Reserves who beat Portland United Reserves 3-0 at Magna Road with their goals courtesy of Brad Hill [x2] & Elliott Birtwhistle.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
