Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Leaders Newton beat Marshall 5-2 in the “Sturminster Derby” at Barnetts field under the lights, goals from Buddy O Shea, Ash Clarke, Ryan Schoulten, Aaron Lane-Laney & George Coleman secured the points for the hosts whilst Jordan Fisk & Josh Ridland scored for the visitors who twice equalised in the game before the League Leaders put the game to bed. Dorchester Sports returned to winning ways tonight after a 3-2 win at the New Cuthbury against hosts Wimborne Town Reserves, goals from Elliott Rossiter x2 & Joel Hewitt put Sports 3 up only for strikes from Heath Thornton & Liam Nixon for the hosts brought them back into the game, however the visitors held on.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
