Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

A full house of 8 fixtures played this afternoon ..........
Leaders Blandford United won again, 3-1 at Portland United Reserves, Mark Ford put the "Royals" ahead in the 1st Half and with the game drifting into 2nd half extra time, Steve Smith converted a penalty to double their lead only for the hosts Shane Evans to reduce the arrears immediately, however Steve Smith then converted another penalty to get his brace and secure the points. Hard on their heels are Sturminster Newton who beat Balti Sports 5-0 at Barnett's Field with their goals courtesy of Will Guppy (x2) Buddy O'Shea, George Coleman & Charlie Garrod. Bridport Reserves and Wimborne Town Reserves played out a 0-0 stalemate in West Dorset, meanwhile at Alvington, Holt United beat hosts Westland Sports 2-0 with both "Bulls" goals coming in the 1st half courtesy of Scott Bungay & Jamie Power. Poole Borough won 3-1 at Sturminster Marshall with goals from Liam Smith, Jack Fendley & Kieron Denty, replying for the hosts was Aaron Potts. Bournemouth Sports also won 3-1 on the road as they beat hosts Swanage T&H in the Purbeck. Scoring for the visitors were Jamie Trimble, Jai Crowther & an OG, replying for the "Swans" was Charlie Brassington with a header. Merley CS & Dorchester Sports played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Merley Park with Mike Trim & Greg Holford scoring for the hosts with Joel Hewitt and Owen Peart, with a 35yarder, replying for the visitors. Finally, there was quite the game at the County Ground as Hamworthy United Reserves beat Sherborne Town Reserves 5-3. All the goals came in the 2nd half, scoring for the "Hammers" were Charlie Cox, Finlay West, Brandon Williams & Neemo Nixon with a brace, they also had Lennon Claydon sent off when leading 2-1, replying for the "Zebras" were Alfie Calway with a penalty in the 1st half, Tyler Nicholson & Beh Hughes.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
