Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

League leaders Blandford United left it very late to claim the 3 points and still remain unbeaten in the League as they beat Swanage T&H 2-1 at Park Road, Cody Moore had given the Swans a 1st half lead and they looked like they were going to win, that was until the 90th minute when evergreen Mark Ford equalised for the Royals, still the drama was not over as minutes later Steve Smith converted from the Penalty spot to claim the win. Sturminster Newton dropped points on the road as they drew 1-1 at Bournemouth Sports, Nick Thomson had given the visitors the lead, however the hosts James Bergin equalised to bring the sides level. Wimborne Town Reserves picked up a decent 4-0 win on the road at the Camp & Satherley stadium against hosts Portland United Reserves, scoring for the Magpies, both with braces were Addwell Chipungura & George Griffiths, Merley Cobham Sports continued their good run of form with a 4-0 win at home against Poole Borough, with Owen Reynolds, Callum Perry, Awwal Abubakar & Charlie Shears all scoring. Meanwhile, Holt United beat Bridport Reserves 5-1 in a game played at Bournemouth Poppies FC with Kyle John-Clement, Corey Elwick, Ben Lebow, Scott Bungay & Ali Garard scoring for the Bulls, with Mika Mamanta replying for the Bees. Finally Balti Sports handed out a goalscoring lesson at the College to visitors Sturminster Marshall as they won 11-0 with goals from Stev Stavrinos (x5) Matt Chambers (x3) Alfie Stone, Reece Starr & Carl Mutch.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
