
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Another pivotal day in the title race saw the top 2 pull further away as the 3 sides directly below them all lost !!!
Sturminster Newton won 3-0 at Portland United Reserves with their goals courtesy of Elliot Bevis, Jamie Danoris & Aaron Lane-Laney, hard on their heels and still with games in hand are Holt United who dispatched Balti Sports 4-0 at Petersham Lane with Scott Bungay x2, Kyle JOhn-Clement & George Lane scoring for the Bulls. Bournemouth Sports lost for the 2nd time in a week as they went down 3-0 at home against Dorchester Sports, scoring for the visitors who ended their season on a night were Joel Hewitt & a brace from Elliott Rossiter. Westland Sports lost 2-0 at Sturminster Marshall with the hosts goals coming from Callum Whitelaw & Luke Goddard. Swanage T&H picked up a deserved 3-1 win at home against Blandford United with the Swans goals scored by Will Prior x2 & Jack Hughes. Merley CS picked up a routine win in beating bottom placed Shaftesbury Reserves 6-0 at home, scoring for the hosts were dan Edwards x2, Ellis George x2, Dan Reeks & James Cherrett. Poole Borough picked up a decent 4-1 win on the road at Sherborne Town Reserves, scoring for the Hornets were Jake Dove x2, Kieran Denty & Luke Bascombe, scoring the Zebras consolation was Ryan Thurgood.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
