Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Only one place to start and that was at Park Road where a massive crowd of 738 were in attendance to see the eagerly awaited top of the table clash between leaders Blandford United & 2nd placed Sturminster Newton. The hosts took the lead in the 2nd half courtesy of a Mark Ford header only for Newton's Ash Clarke to equalise and with the game heading to its conclusion Sturminster Newton edged in front via an OG to seal the points and leapfrog the Royals to the top of the table by 1 point with 2 games apiece to go. Wimborne Town Reserves maintained 3rd place after thumping Balti Sports 9-0 at Cranford Avenue, scoring for the Magpies were Addwell Chipangura (x4) Heath Thornton (x2) Max Patmore, Cameron Mcmonagle & Toby Dinnivan. Another side to score big were Holt United who thrashed Westland Sports 8-0 at Petersham Lane, scoring for the Bulls were Kyle John-Clement, Ben Le Bow, Sonny Wilkinson (x2) Kian Boyd, George Lane, Chris Manners & Jamie Power. The "Blandford Road" Derby went the way of Poole Borough for the 3rd time this season as they beat Hamworthy United Reserves 4-1 at Turlin Moor, scoring for the hosts were Kieron Denty, Connor Jevon & 2x OG's with Max Kenway seeing his penalty saved by Harvey Bartlett in the visitors goal, scoring the Hammers consolation was Bailey Rowe. Dorchester Sports beat Sherborne Town Reserves 4-0 at Raleigh Grove with their scorers being Toby Kelly, Joel Hewitt (x2) & Owen Peart, finally at the Camp & Satherley Stadium, hosts Portland United Reserves & Merley CS played out a 0-0 draw.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
