Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

With League Leaders Sturminster Newton not playing today, Holt United took full advantage as they thrashed Shaftesbury Reserves 13-0 at Petersham Lane, with the Bulls running rampant, Scott Bungay x6, Jamie Power x4, Connor Bent, Kyle John-Clement & Emil Jacobsen all scored to keep their title charge firmly on track. Bournemouth Sports travelled to the College to play hosts Balti Sports and taught them a lesson in finishing as they won 8-0, scoring their goals were Maddison Wickin, Josh Moody x2, Matt Ellis, Jamie Trimble and a hat trick, including 2 penalties from Jack Voisey. Westland Sports welcomed Portland United reserves to Alvington and beat them 6-1 with Phil Ormrod helping himself to 4 goals, the hosts other goals were scored by Steve Ormrod & Duncan McCabe, scoring the Blues consolation was Tom Butcher. Blandford United welcomed Poole Borough and another large crowd to park road with the Royals winning 3-1, scoring for the hosts were Jo Smith, Elliott Manson & Taylor Webb, with Alfie Tilsted scoring for Borough. Merley Cobham Sports made the long trip to West Dorset to face Bridport Reserves and return East with 3 points after a 6-0 win, scoring for the visitors were Ollie Marsh, Thomas Beckett, Callum Perry, George Coleman, Matt Groves and an OG, Finally Swanage T&H picked up another win, this time at Sherborne Town Reserves 2-1 with both Swans goals courtesy of Will Prior, scoring for the Zebras was Keaton Cooper.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
