Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Sturminster Newton went back top of the table tonight by 1 point after a comfortable 6-0 win at home against Hamworthy United Reserves, scoring for the hosts were Elliot Bevis (x3) Ash Clarke, George Coleman & Billy Bright, meanwhile at Raleigh Grove, Sherborne Town Reserves entertained Bridport Reserves with honours even after a 3-3 draw, scoring for the Zebras were Alfie Calway, Dec Cornish & Billy Mullins, replying for the Bees were .....

Blandford United returned to winning ways this evening as they defeated Dorchester Sports 2-1 at Park Road, scoring for the Royals in each half, were Steve Smith with a header & Mark Ford, replying in the closing moments for Sports was ...... This win puts Blandford back top of the table by 2 points from Sturminster Newton, who next play tomorrow night, meaning the title will now go down to their final fixtures on May 4th, where Blandford United will travel to Wimborne Town Reserves & Sturminster Newton will welcome Holt United, talking of Holt United, they continued their current free scoring run after an 8-1 demolition of Poole Borough at Petersham Lane, scoring for the Bulls were Ali Garrard (x3) Emil Jacobsen (x2) Eric Richardson (x2) & Ben Lebow with Luke Bascombe getting Poole's consolation. Finally at Alvington, Wimborne Town Reserves put their hosts Westland Sports to the sword by winning 4-0, scoring for the New Cuthbury outfit were Luke Sheehy, Tom Weeks & Cameron Mcmonagle with a brace.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
