Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

The opening days fixtures of the new Dorset Premier Football League season did not disappoint ...........
New Boys Bournemouth Electric started life in the DPL with a bang as they beat Sherborne Town Reserves 5-1 at Home, scoring for the hosts were Harry Salter, Sergio Cranium, Kyle St-Clement, Jackson Kavita & Dillon King, replying for the "Zebras" was Cian Cabell. The Leagues other new boys Hamworthy Recreation Reserves did not fair as well as they went down 4-0 at Westland Sports, scoring for the Alvington outfit were Steve Ormrod (x2) Phil Ormrod & Malik Kamal. Cobham Sports & Portland United Reserves played out a 1-1 draw with Shane Evans putting the "Blues" ahead from the penalty spot only for the hosts Jake Kelly to equalise, another game to finish all square was at St Marys where Bridport Reserves & Bournemouth Sports played out a 2-2 draw, scoring for the "Bees" were Josh Baker & Dan Elliott with Sports goals courtesy of Matt Ellis & Jack Voisey. Swanage T&H beat visitors Wimborne Town Reserves in the Purbeck 5-3, scoring for the "Swans" were Josh Neale Nuete, Sam Wilcocks (x2) & Charlie Brassington (x2) scoring for the visitors were George Canham, Kenan Hatfield & Finley Richardson. Dorchester Sports got their season off to a perfect start with a 3-1 win at Turlin Moor against hosts Poole Borough, scoring for Sports were Joel Hewitt, Dylan Ellis & Alex Godfrey with Connor Jevon notching for the hosts. Meanwhile at Petersham Lane, Holt United and Blandford United played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with George Lane & Scott Bungay scoring for the "Bulls" with Mark Ford & Reuben Stanley getting the "Royals" goals. Finally at the County Ground, Hamworthy United Reserves & Balti Sports played out a 0-0 draw.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
