Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Both Dorchester Sports & Westland Sports maintained their perfect 100% record to day as they beat Cobham Sports & Poole Borough respectively.....
However we start the round up at Balti Sports where they narrowly lost a 9 goal thriller 5-4 to Blandford United, 5 goals were scored in the opening quarter of the hour, the hosts went ahead courtesy of Ethan Clarke only for the Royals Mark Ford to score a quick fire hat trick, back came Balti from 3-1 down to go in at the break 4-3 up with further goals from Charlie Mussenden & Tyler Hoff [x2] Mark Ford hit his 4th early in the second half for the visitors before Joe Kempster bagged the winner. Another player to hit 4 this afternoon was Westland's Phil Ormrod who alongside a goal from Jamie Thompson defeated Poole Borough 5-0 at Alvington. Dorchester Sports beat Cobham Sports 3-0 at the Avenue to continue their fine start to the season with Joel Hewitt, Alex Godfrey & Dylan Ellis scoring for the hosts. Holt United picked up a 4-0 win at Petersham Lane against Hamworthy United Reserves with George Lane [x2] Sam Bennett & Bas Jammah scoring for the Bulls. Portland United Reserves picked up an impressive 4-0 victory at the New Cuthbury against hosts Wimborne Town Reserves, scoring for the Blues were Ryan Mckechnie, Jamie Cleaver, David Bowmaster & Shane Evans. Bournemouth Sports defeated Sherborne Town Reserves 4-1 at Chapel gate with Tommy White, Jamie Trimble, Max Mountford & Taylor Edwards scoring for the hosts with the Zebras consolation scored by Morgan Alexander. Bridport Reserves & Bournemouth Electric played out a 1-1 draw in West Dorset with a Josh Baker penalty for the Bees, scoring for Electric was Max Frampton. Finally Hamworthy Recreation Reserves picked up their 1st win & points of the season as they beat hosts Swanage Town & Herston 1-0 in the Purbeck with Elliott Birtwistle scoring their winner.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
