Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Tonight saw the start of this seasons League Cup Competition with three 1st Round ties played under the lights .....
Wimborne Town Reserves welcomed Cobham Sports to the New Cuthbury with the hosts edging it 1-0 courtesy of a second half goal from substitute Charlie Middleton to secure their place in the second round. Meanwhile at Magna Road, this seasons 2 new boys met and it was the hosts Hamworthy Recreation Reserves who progressed after a 3-1 win against Bournemouth Electric, scoring for the hosts were Charlie Harries & Matt Kerse with a brace, scoring for Electric was Jackson Kavita. Finally at the Avenue Stadium hosts Dorchester Sports welcomed Balti Sports with the hosts winning 5-1 with a goal from Sam Poole and braces from Toby Kelly & Alex Godfrey, scoring the visitors consolation was Charlie Mussenden.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
