Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Apologies for the late Match Day Round Up - Due to proud Dad taking his Daughter to University yesterday and getting back very late .......
Westland Sports remain top of the table after beating Balti Sports 7-0 at Alvington, scoring for the hosts were Jamie Thompson & Phil Ormrod, both with hat tricks with Harry Fishenden also scoring. Bournemouth Sports still remain the only unbeaten side in the League as they left it late to equalise in injury time to secure a 2-2 draw at Cobham Sports, scoring for the hosts were Josh Buck & Dan Brown with James Bergin & Cameron Shaw scoring for the visitors. Another side to leave it late were Dorchester Sports who beat hosts Blandford United 1-0 courtesy of an injury time goal from Alex Godfrey. Bournemouth Electric came from behind to beat hosts Hamworthy United Reserves at the County Ground, Morgan Collarelli had given the Hammers a HT lead only for Dillon King & Kayne Daysh from the penalty spot in the second half to turn the game around and secure the 3 points. Portland United Reserves picked up an impressive 3-2 win on the road as they beat hosts Holt United 3-2 at Petersham Lane, scoring for the Bulls were George Lane & Ali Garard with a penalty, in reply, Josh Tennant [x2] & Troy Walbridge scored for the Blues. Meanwhile, in the Purbeck, Swanage T&H and Bridport Reserves played out a 1-1 draw with Josh Baker giving the Bees the lead only for the Swans Ocean Smith to equalise. Sherborne Town Reserves picked up a 2-1 win at home by beating Hamworthy Recreation Reserves with 1st half goals from Josh Sutton & Jaimie Jarman, Replying for Rec was Charlie Harries with a 2nd half Penalty. Finally, Wimborne Town Reserves picked up their 1st win of the season as they beat Poole Borough 3-0 at Turlin Moor with all 3 goals coming in the 2nd half courtesy of Sean Eaton & Charlie Clarke with a brace.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
