
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

All 8 games were played today, despite the recent poor weather ....
League leaders Westland Sports were beaten in the Purbeck 3-0 by hosts Swanage Town & Herston with Sam Clarke and a brace from Will Spetch scoring for the Swans. A Scott Joyce penalty for hosts Bournemouth Electric saw them home 1-0 against Dorchester Sports, Bournemouth Sports beat visitors Wimborne Town Reserves 6-3 at Chapel Gate with Thomas White, James Bergin [x2] Jack Voisey, Gabrial Spennato & Taylor Edwards all scoring for the hosts with Hector Raynor and a brace from Declan Mussendon in reply for the visitors. Sherborne Town Reserves picked up a 2-1 win at Turlin Moor against hosts Poole Borough with Josh Haskett & Alec Thomas scoring for the Zebras with Connor Jevon netting for the hosts. Holt United returned from the College with all 3 points after a 3-0 win against Balti Sports with Harrison Marsh & a brace from Ali Garard scoring for the Bulls. Another side to win on the road were Hamworthy United Reserves who beat hosts Bridport Reserves 3-1 at St Marys, scoring for the Hammers were Dan Viner, Amir Zerga & Jacob Crowther with Harry Bolton scoring the Bees consolation. Hamworthy Recreation Reserves won 6-2 at Magna Road against Portland United Reserves with Charlie Harries [x3] Curtis Lane, Liam Crutchley & Dan Reeks all notching for the men in Green, replying for the Blues were Mitchell Powell & Troy Walbridge, finally at Park Road, Blandford United beat Cobham Sports 5-1 courtesy of goals from Elliott Manson, Mark Ford and a 2nd half hat trick from George Coleman, the visitors goal came courtesy of an OG.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
