
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Another full week end schedule played .......
Dorchester Sports remain top of the table but they were made to work for their 3-2 win at Sherborne Town Reserves, scoring for Sports were Alex Godfrey [x2] & Darren Watts with the Zebras goals from Jamie Jarman with a brace, hard on their heels and still unbeaten are Bournemouth Sports who drew 2-2in the Purbeck at Swanage T&H, the visitors were 2 up at the break with a brace from Matt Ellis only for Ocean Smith & Cody Moore to score for the hosts in the 2nd half. Blandford United beat Hamworthy United Reserves 3-0 at Park road with their goals courtesy of Elliott Manson & a Mark Ford Brace. Cobham Sports picked up a deserved 4-1 win on the Road at Alvington against hosts Westland Sports with their goals from Dan Kelly [x2] Tadgh Case & Chris Manners with Steve Ormrod notching for the hosts. Hamworthy Recreation Reserves beat Bridport Reserves 2-0 at Magna Road with their goals courtesy of a Bryce Banfield brace, meanwhile at Turlin Moor, Balti Sports picked up a much needed when by beating hosts Poole Borough 3-1 with Glenn-Emilian Emson hitting a brace and their 3rd from Louis Gear with Dan Mirto scoring for Poole.
DORSET SENIOR TROPHY
2 Ties played today, in the 1st Round Portland United Reserves beat Bournemouth Sports Reserves 3-1 to progress through with the Blues goals from Ryan McKechnie, David Bowmaster & Tom Peach. Meanwhile in a 2nd Round Tie Holt United progressed into the next round after a 4-2 win at Wimborne Town Reserves, scoring for the Bulls were Ben Le Bow, Ollie Wilson, Sam Bennett & Jamie Power.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.
