Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

LEAGUE
Only 3 games played today due to County Cup Fixtures .......
Blandford United hammered the "Hammers" in their own back yard 8-2 as the "Royals" went goal crazy at the County Ground, scoring for the Blues were Grant Cormack, Elliot Manson [x2] Reuben Stanley, Luke Stone, Tom Butcher, Joe Kempster & Charlie John with Amir Ain-Zerga & Dwayne Owierdu-Yeboah replying for the hosts. Holt United came from behind to beat visitors Wimborne Town Reserves 2-1 at Petersham Lane, Calum Clarke had given the visitors a 1-0 lead at HT only for George Lane & Harrison Marsh to turn things around for the "Bulls" in the second half. Finally, Swanage T&H made the long trip to Alvington to face hosts Westland Sports with the points being shared after a 1-1 draw, Albie Turner put the Swans ahead only for Phil Ormrod to equalise for the Somerset Outfit.
DORSET SENIOR TROPHY
2 shock results today saw DPL sides bow out to Dorset League sides, despite a Toby Kelly goal Dorchester Sports were beaten 2-1 at Maiden Newton & Cattistock, meanwhile Sherborne Town Reserves lost 2-0 at Cranborne. Hamworthy Recreation Reserves progressed through after a 3-0 win at Lyme Regis with goals from Dan Reeks, Noah Burgess & Matt Kerse, joining them in the next round are Cobham Sports who beat hosts Poole Borough 4-0 at Turlin Moor with Tadgh Case & a hat trick from Amechie Eze-Sunday getting their goals, Finally to make it a hat trick of Away wins, Bridport Reserves beat hosts Balti Sports at the College 3-1 with Noah House hitting a hat trick for the "Bees" scoring for Balti was Tyler Hoff.
HAMPSHIRE SATURDAY TROPHY
With Bournemouth Sports being awarded a HWO due to Clanfield Reserves withdrawing, all eyes were on Bournemouth Electric to see if they could join Sports in the next round, and they did not disappoint as they beat AFC Stoneham Reserves 4-1 at home with goals from Joe Flachi [x2] Dillon King & Abraham Adesoji.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
