
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Dorchester Sports relinquished top spot in the table after losing 4-0 at Cobham Sports, scoring for the hosts were Dan Brown, Chris Manners & Marco Fowler [x2], replacing them and still unbeaten are Bournemouth Sports who won 4-1 at Turlin Moor against Poole Borough, scoring for Sports were Dan Edwards, Tommy White & Sam Darlow [x2] Blandford United came from being 1 down at half time to beat Portland United Reserves 2-1 at Park Road, scoring for the visitors was Matt Chambers, replying for the Royals were Steve Smith & Ben Knight. Another side to win 2-1 were Holt United who returned from Alvington after beating Westland Sports, scoring for the Bulls were George Ashby & a penalty from George Lane, replying for the hosts was Malik Kamal. Bournemouth Electric returned to winning ways after beating Hamworthy Recreation Reserves 3-0 at the Broadway, scoring for the hosts, all in the 1st half, were Dillon King with a penalty, Edrin Ashante & Sam Lench.
Bridport Reserves & Swanage T&H played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in West Dorset. scoring for the Bees were Ashley Smith & Jake Mansley whilst replying for the Swans were Albie Turner & Joshua Reavenell-Nuete. Sherborne Town Reserves picked up a 3-2 win at Wimborne Town Reserves with goals from Josh Haskett, Jamar Collins & Morgan Alexander, replying for the hosts with a brace was Callum Clarke, finally at the College and wit Marco Nott back in charge, Balti Sports picked up a much needed win as they Beat Hamworthy United Reserves 3-2, scoring the Sports goals were new signing Archie Woolford & Ollie James with Kai Kilcoyne & Jacob Crowther replying for the Hammers.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.
