Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Dorchester Sports remain top of the table after a 2-2 draw against Holt United at Petersham Lane, scoring for the Bulls were Sam Bradford & Jack Satterley with Joel Hewitt & Dan Sheehy replying for Sports. Cobham Sports defeated hosts Hamworthy United Reserves 4-0 at the County Ground to remain in 2nd spot with their goals courtesy of Mike Trim, Dan Brown, Aldo Bertorelli & Charlie Harries. Bournemouth Sports returned to winning ways after their County Cup exit last week with a 3-1 win at Wimborne Town Reserves, scoring for the visitors were Sam Darlow, Matt Ellis & an OG with Hector Rayner scoring the hosts consolation. Another side to win on the road were Swanage T&H who defeated Poole Borough at Turlin Moor courtesy of a Charlie Brassington. Blandford United beat Westland Sports 4-2 at Park Road with goals from George Coleman, Mark Ford and a brace from Elliott Manson with Westlands goals from Aiden Skiverton & Niall Woolard. Hamworthy Recreation defeated Balti Sports 2-0 at Magna Road with Curtis Lane getting both their goals, meanwhile at the Camp & Satherley stadium, hosts Portland United Reserves beat Bournemouth Electric 2-1 with Matt Chambers & Ryan McKechnie scoring for the Blues, Scott Joyce replying for the visitors.
On Friday night, Sherborne Town Reserves & Bridport Reserves played out a 1-1 draw at Raleigh Grove with Alfie Calway scoring for the hosts with Josh Baker equalising for the Bees.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
