
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Tonight saw the 1st round of this seasons Midweek Fixtures.....
In the early kick off's, Merley CS and Wimborne Town Reserves both remain unbeaten after a very tight game with few clear cut chances for either side in a 0-0 draw at Merley Park. Westland Sports picked up their 1st points of the season after hitting Sherborne Town Reserves for 6 in a 6-0 win at Alvington, scoring for the hosts were Malik Kamal (x3), Josh Payne (x2) & Lewis Morgan. In the late games, the "Blandford Road" Derby went the way of Poole Borough who beat hosts Hamworthy United Reserves 3-2 at the County Ground. The lead switched hands 3 times with Borough's goals coming from Keiron Denty, Harry White & the winning 3rd goal from Tyron Denty, replying for the hosts were Fergus Ball & Lennon Claydon who also had their keeper sent off in the 68th minute, meanwhile at St Marys, Bridport Reserves welcomed Balti Sports with the visitors putting their opening day defeat firmly behind them as they gained a dominant 9-1 win with their goals coming from Derek Wall (x3), Stef Stavrinos (x2), Matt Chambers (x2) including a penalty, Dan Andrews and an O.G. Scoring the "Bees" consolation was Callum Arnold.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
