Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

9 games played today .....
Cobham Sports FC made it 5 from 5 after they won 4-1 at the Camp & Satherley Stadium against hosts Portland Utd FC Reserves, this after falling behind to an early Liam Sayers effort, however goals from Joe Wood, Hector Rayner, Amechie Eze-Sunday & Callum Clarke maintain Sports perfect start, another side still with their 100% win record is Holt United FC who made it 4 from 4 after a narrow 1-0 win against Balti Sports FC with the Bulls goal scored by Charlie Cooper in 1st half injury time. Another side to win on the road were Swanage Town & Herston FC who beat hosts Gillingham Town FC 4-3, scoring for the Swans were Curtis Young, Mark Ford and a brace from Niall Dixon with Grady Critchall [x2] & Cameron Butler scoring for the Gills. Blandford United FC picked up 3 comfortable points after a 4-0 win against Poole Borough FC at Turlin Moor, with the Royals goals courtesy of Ryan Horwood, Jake Kelly, Steve Smith & Ashley Cope, worryingly for the hosts this was their 4th straight game without scoring !!! Dorchester Sports FC beat Bournemouth Sports FC in an entertaining game at the Avenue Stadium with Kieron Coombes, Brin Doyle & Alex Godfrey all scoring for the hosts, Taylor Webb scored for the visitors. Bournemouth Electric FC maintained their superb start to the season with a 3-1 win at Potterne Park against hosts Verwood Town FC, the damage was done in the 1st half as Electric raced into a 3 goal lead with goals from Kyle John-Clement, Joshua Reveanall-Nuete & Jackson Kavita, Sergio Craciun replying for Town. Sherborne Town FC Reserves picked up their 3rd win of the season after beating Hamworthy United FC Reserves 3-0 at Raleigh Grove with goals from Ollie Crisp, Liam Price & Luke Jackson. Wimborne Town FC Reserves beat Bridport FC Reserves 4-1 at the New Cuthbury with James Storey [x2] Taylor Broadley & Harrison Snow scoring for the hosts with Josh Baker getting the Bees consolation, finally, a Bryce Banfield 2nd half winner separated the 2 sides as Hamworthy Recreation FC Reserves beat hosts Westland Sports FC 1-0 at Alvington Lane.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
