
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Cobham Sports FC opened up a 3 point gap at the top of the table after their 6-0 win at home against Swanage Town & Herston FC, scoring for the hosts were Callum Clarke & Cameron Beard, both with 2 a piece, Lee Wilkins & Ameche Eze. Bournemouth Electric FC tasted defeat for the 1st time this season as they went down 2-1 at Dorchester Sports FC, scoring for Sports were Callum Streamer & Alex Godfrey, replying for Electric was ????? Blandford United FC welcomed Holt United FC to Park Road for their 1st home game of the season and it was worth the wait as the Royals won 3-0 with goals from Dan Kelly, Louis Whetton and an OG. Balti Sports FC returned to winning ways as they beat Gillingham Town FC 3-2 at Cranford Avenue, scoring for the hosts were Troy Walbridge, Devin Fry & Charlie Mussenden with ????? replying for the Gills. Hamworthy Recreation FC Reserves won 1-0 courtesy of Bran Hill against hosts Verwood Town FC Reserves. Meanwhile at Alvington, Westland Sports FC & Bournemouth Sports FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Phil Ormrod & Malik Kamal scoring for the hosts with Dan Hayward & Kieron Bright replying for the visitors. Another game to finish all square was at St Marys where Bridport FC Reserves drew 3-3 with Poole Borough FC, scoring for the hosts were Tye Shinder, Harry Boulton & Noah House, replying for Borough, with their 1st goals of the season were Morrison Wright, Nathan Liro & Tolue Adesoji. The Bees Josh Baker also missed a penalty whilst at 1-1. Portland United FC Reserves won 3-1 at Sherborne Town FC Reserves with goals from ????? with Sol Carney getting the Zebras consolation, finally at the New Cuthbury Wimborne Town FC Reserves lost 3-1 to Hamworthy United FC Reserves, scoring for the Hammers were Kieron Gooding and a brace from Stephen Kwawminda with George Adair-Charlton & Franco Bertorelli replying for the hosts.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
