
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

On probably the hottest day of the year !!!
There were some Scorching performances in the blistering sunshine !!
Sturminster Newton hammered Sturminster Marshall 13-0 at Barnetts field with Buddy O'Shea (x6) Jamie Danoris (x4) Charlie Garrod, Ashley Clarke & Elliot Bevis all scoring for the "Cherries" Hamworthy United Reserves continued their fine form with an impressive 4-2 win against Dorchester Sports at the County Ground, scoring for the "Hammers" were Jake Kelly, Charlie Harries, Eric Richardson & Neemo Nixon with Owen Peart & Liam O'Shaughnessy scoring for Sports. The "Bulls" of Holt United stampeded over the "Swans" of Swanage T&H, 6-0 at Petersham Lane with the hosts goals scored by Ali Garard (x2) George Lane, Corey Elwick, Kyle John-Clement & Lewis Sainval. Balti Sports & Bournemouth Sports played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the College with Ethan Devaney & Louis Gear scoring for the hosts with Madison Wilkin scoring a brace for the visitors. Portland United Reserves continued their fine form with a deserved 4-2 win at home against Westland Sports, Tom Butcher scored a hat trick for the hosts with Riley Greenwood also scoring, replying for the visitors were Malik Kamal & Josh Payne, Portland keeper Sam Moggeridge also saved a penalty for the "Blues" Blandford United remain unbeaten after their narrow 2-1 win at Park Road against Merley CS, scoring for the "Royals" were Elliot Manson & Mark Ford with Jon Lever getting the visitors goal. Poole Borough left it late to secure the 3 points as an 88th minute header from Max Kenway was enough to give them a 1-0 win against Shaftesbury Reserves at Turlin Moor. Finally at the New Cuthbury, hosts Wimborne Town Reserves beat Bridport Reserves 5-1 with Albie Turner, Callum Clarke, Finley Toghill & a brace from Addwell Chapungura all scoring for the hosts with the "Bees" consolation coming from,
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
