Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

LEAGUE
Cobham Sports FC maintained pole position with another 6 goal haul after beating Wimborne Town FC Reserves 6-2 at home, scoring for the hosts were Ellis George, Ameche Eze, Sam Lench Callum Clarke & 2 OGs replying for the visitors were Maksym Boichuk & Filip Kwiatowski. Dorchester Sports FC visited the County Ground and beat hosts Hamworthy United FC Reserves 3-1 with Owen Peart hitting a brace & a goal from Sanchez - Baker with Daniel Colarelli replying for the Hammers. Bournemouth Sports FC maintained their fine form with a 5-1 win at Chapel Gate against Hamworthy Recreation FC Reserves, scoring for Sports were Max Norris, Sam Bennett, Tommy White, Dan Hayward & Taylor Webb with Ollie Rodriguez notching for Rec. Westland Sports FC beat Verwood Town FC 3-1 at Alvington with Josh John, Malik Kamal & Niall Woollard scoring for the hosts, with Mitch White scoring Towns goal. In the proverbial game of 2 half's, Bridport FC Reserves came from 2 down at the break to beat Gillingham Town FC 3-2 at St Marys field, scoring for the Bees were Dan Baggs, Josh Baker & Matthew Condliffe, scoring for the Gills were ????, finally their was a 7 goal thriller at Cranford Avenue with the visitors Sherborne Town FC Reserves beating hosts Balti Sports FC 4-3, scoring for the hosts were Charlie Mussenden, Devin Fry & Ryan McKechnie with Ollie Crisp, Alfie Calway, Jamie Russo & Tommy Gayling scoring for the Zebras.

Bournemouth Electric FC made it comfortably through to the next round after their 8-1 demolition of Poole Borough with goals from Joshua Reveanall-Nuete, OG, Mohamid Ibrahim, Matt Charalmbous, Oliver Bird [x2] Ionel Lolot & Jackson Kavita, scoring the Hornets consolation was Nathan Liro. Blandford United FC beat Swanage Town & Herston FC 5-0 at Park Road with goals from Ash Cope [x4] & Charlie John, finally at Petersham Lane, Holt United FC beat Portland United FC Reserves 3-1, scoring for the Bulls were Josh Buck, Lewis McMurdo & Ally Williams with Tyler Butcher scoring for Portland.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.
