Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Cobham march on .....
League leaders Cobham Sports FC still remain unbeaten as they claimed their 12th win as they thumped Gillingham Town FC 7-1 at Merley Park, scoring for the hosts were Asa Phillips, Ellis George Callum Clarke & braces from Harrison Wright & Joe Wood, scoring the visitors consolation was Caleb Pack. Hard on their heels at the top are Dorchester Sports FC who claimed a narrow 1-0 win away at Portland United FC Reserves with their important winner courtesy of Alex Godfrey. Sitting in 3rd place are Blandford United FC who picked up all 3 points at Alvington after defeating Westland Sports FC 2-1. scoring for the Royals were Louis Whetton & Elliott Manson, replying for Sports in the 2nd half was Niall Woolard. Sherborne Town FC Reserves continued their fine form with a 5-2 win at Raleigh Grove against Swanage Town & Herston FC with the Zebras goals from George Geraghty, Jamie Russo, Joe Boon & a brace from Ash Guppy with Josh Reavenall-Nuete & Stephen Prior replying for the Swans. Bottom placed Poole Borough FC lost again at Turlin Moor as Balti Sports FC won 4-0 with goals from Ryan McKechnie, Henri Cox, Charlie Mussenden & Matt Harvey. Bridport FC Reserves also remain in the bottom 2 as they were beaten 5-1 at St Marys by Hamworthy United FC Reserves, scoring for the Hammers were Aza Khider, Noah Hitchmough, Jack Clark & 2 from James Cherrett with Dan Baggs replying for the Bees, Wimborne Town FC Reserves won their East Dorset derby with hosts Verwood Town FC 1-0 at Potterne Park with Will Orchard scoring the winner. Finally to Petersham Lane where Holt United FC & Bournemouth Sports FC drew 1-1, putting the hosts ahead was Sami Garcia with Sports reply from Kian Bright.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
