
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

On the weekend the DPL paid its respects for Remembrance Day, a full schedule of games was played ......
LEAGUE
Cobham Sports FC maintained pole position after their 5-0 win at Potterne Park against hosts Verwood Town FC, scoring for the League Leaders were Callum Clarke [x3] Asa Phillips & Cam Beard, hard on their heels are Blandford United FC who welcomed Bournemouth Electric FC to Park Road with the Royals winning 2-, scoring for the hosts were Reuben Stanley & Jimmy Fry with Electric's goal courtesy of an OG. Dorchester Sports FC travelled to Wimborne Town FC Reserves and won 2-1 with goals from Brin Doyle & Alex Godfrey, replying for Town was ?????. Another side to win on the road were Swanage Town & Herston FC who beat Poole Borough FC 2-0 at Turlin Moor, scoring for the Swans were Ogun Gundogdu & Joshua Reavenall-Nuete. Holt United FC narrowly beat Bridport FC Reserves 1-0 at Petersham Lane with the all important winner scored by Dan Naish. Sherborne Town FC Reserves picked up another decent win, this time 2-1 at Westland Sports FC who took the lead through Phil Ormrod, only for the visitors Jaime Jarman to respond with a brace, so moving the Zebras up into 5th place in the League Table. Balti Sports FC returned from their trip to Gillingham Town FC with all 3 points after a 3-1 win with their goals from Ryan McKechnie, Troy Walbridge & Ollie James, with Caleb Peck scoring the hosts consolation, finally to the Hamworthy Derby where hosts Hamworthy United FC Reserves welcomed Hamworthy Recreation FC Reserves to the County Ground and it was Recreation that triumphed 3-0 with goals from Ollie Gomm, Harrison Whitelaw & Igor Da Costa.
HAMPSHIRE SATURDAY TROPHY
Bournemouth Sports FC made the long trip to Brading Town FC on the I.O.W and progressed through to the next round after a 4-3 victory, scoring for the Chapel Gate outfit were, Taylor Webb with a brace, Dan Hayward & Jamie Booth.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
