
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Given the recent poor weather, to only lose 2 games involving our sides was a testament to the hardworking volunteers behind the scenes at All Clubs who got pitches ready for yesterday ......
LEAGUE
Cobham Sports FC won a hard fought encounter at Bournemouth Electric FC 2-1 with goals from Callum Clarke & Cameron Beard with Jackson Kavita replying for the hosts. Blandford United FC also won 2-1 at Park road against their visitors Swanage Town & Herston FC, scoring for the Royals were Reuben Stanley & Elliott Manson with Joshua Reavenall-Nuete replying for the Swans. Dorchester Sports FC edged a 7 goal thriller 4-3 at the Avenue Stadium against Westland Sports FC, scoring for Dorch were Brin Doyle [x2] Shaun Bessant & Derek Wall with Malik Kamal hitting a hat trick for the visitors. Bournemouth Sports FC Hammered the Hammers of Hamworthy United FC Reserves 8-2 at Chapel Gate, scoring for Sports were Samuel Bennett [x3] Taylor Webb [x2] Daniel Hayward, Luke Street & Joseph White, replying for Hamworthy were Charlie Shears & Eric Richardson. Holt United FC won 4-0 at Verwood Town FC with goals from George Ashby, George Lane, Ben Lebow & Ally Williams. Finally at Turlin Moor, hosts Poole Borough FC were beaten 3-0 by Wimborne Town FC Reserves whose scorers were George Adair Charlton [x2] & Charlie Middleton.
DORSET SENIOR TROPHY
Portland United FC Reserves progressed through to the next round after a 3-2 win at home against Balti Sports FC, scoring for the Blues were Greg Borthwick [x2] & Sonny Cleaton.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
