Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

The top 2 at the start of play went head to head at Park Road as Blandford United welcomed Wimborne Town Reserves, with the points being shared after an entertaining 2-2 draw, Joe Kempster & Jack Satherley goals saw the Royals go in 2-0 up at the break only for George Griffith to pull 1 back for the visitors who were then reduced to 10 men as Harry Rodda saw red, however Addwell Chipangura popped up with the equaliser late on. Holt United won a tight contest 2-0 at Bridport Reserves with Corey Elwick & Ali Gerard scoring for the Bulls. Portland United Reserves returned to winning ways with an emphatic 5-0 win at Shaftesbury Reserves with Josh Camp (x3) Riley Greenwood & Lewis Howe notching for the Blues. Sturminster Newton scored all 3 goals in a 2-1 win at Turin Moor against Poole Borough with Buddy O”Shea & Billy Bright scoring for the visitors who also conceded an OG to the hosts. Bournemouth Sports came from 2 down to beat visitors Hamworthy United Reserves 3-2 at Chapel gate, Lennon Clandon had struck twice for the Hammers before Matt Ellis, Jack Voisey & Cam Shaw hit back for the hosts. Merley CS hit 7 on the road as they beat hosts Balti Sports 7-3 at Cranford Avenue with Dan Edwards, Luke Stone (x2) Awwal Abubakar, Owen Reynolds, Ellis George & Ameche Eze-Sunday all scoring for the visitors with Owen Preece, an OG & Jack Summers replying for the hosts. Dorchester Sports also won on the road as they beat Westland Sports 5-2 at Alvington, with Dylan Ellis (x2) Owen Peart, Dan Sheehy & Alex Godfrey scoring for Dorchester with Ollie Crisp & a penalty from Niall Woolard penalty replying for the home side. Biggest scorers on the day were Swanage T&H who inflicted another double digit defeat on Sturminster Marshall by beating them 13-0 with the Swans goals coming courtesy of Cody Moore (x3) Ocean Smith (x3) Dan Reeks, Brad Smith, Charlie Dyke, Aaron Merredew, Jack Hughes, Charlie Brassington & Joey Towers.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
