
Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

7 League games & 3 County Cup games were played today .....
LEAGUE
Cobham Sports FC maintained pole position after a 4-0 win at Turlin Moor against hosts Poole Borough FC, scoring for the League Leaders were Michael Trim, Ellis George & a brace from Ionel Lolot, Blandford United FC welcomed Bridport FC Reserves to Park Road and won a 7 goal thriller 4-3, scoring for the Royals were Elliott Manson, Devin Fry with a brace and the all important winner from Theo Skakich, replying for the Bees who were 2-0 up at half time were Harry Boulton & a brace from Noah House. Bournemouth Electric FC won on the road at Portland United FC Reserves 3-1 with goals from Oliver Bird & a brace from Kyle John-Clement with Mike Powell scoring for the Blues. The 4 matches that kicked off at 3pm all ended in 3-0 wins, firstly Gillingham Town FC defeated Holt United FC 3-0 with goals from Klarc Coates, Caleb Pack & Filip Opalinski, Swanage Town & Herston FC won 3-0 in the Purbeck against Westland Sports FC with all their goals coming in the 2nd half through Curtis Young & Ocean Smith, another side to see 3 second half goals were Wimborne Town FC Reserves who beat Hamworthy Recreation FC Reserves also 3-0 with goals from Reuben Fitz-John, Kester Wilson & Nathan Davis. Finally to Potterne Park where Hamworthy United FC Reserves defeated hosts Verwood Town FC 3-0 with the Hammers goals scored by ?????
DORSET SENIOR TROPHY
Dorchester Sports FC safely progressed through after a 6-2 win at home against Westover Bournemouth FC with goals from Dylan Ellis, Dan Sheehy ]x2] & a hat trick from Brin Doyle, joining them in the next round are Sherborne Town FC Reserves who needed penalties to be Wareham Rangers FC after the game finished 1-1, scoring the Zebras all important equaliser was ????? before going on to win 5-4 on penalties.
HAMPSHIRE SATURDAY TROPHY
Bournemouth Sports FC bowed out of the Competition after a narrow 1-0 defeat at Andover Town FC
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
