Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

Football 1 The Weather 2 .......
Tonight saw the 1st Postponements of the season as the wet conditions saw the games at Sherborne Town Res & Sturminster Newton fall foul of the Weather leaving just the one game at the Avenue Stadium between hosts Dorchester Sports & Merley CS going ahead, with the spoils going to the visitors 1-0 courtesy of a Amechie Eze- Sunday goal midway through the 2nd half.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
