Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

League leaders Blandford United were made to work for their 3-2 win at home against Poole Borough with the visitors leading twice in the game, scoring for Poole were Dan Mirto & Kieron Denty with a brace from Mark Ford & Logan Laird goals securing the win for the Royals. Holt United are hard on their heels after a 2-0 win at Petersham Lane against Merley CS with the Bulls goals coming from Lewis Sainvel & an OG. Sturminster Newton also trailed twice in their game at the County Ground against hosts Hamworthy United Reserves before coming back to win 5-2, scoring for the Cherries were Elliot Bevis (x2) Brad Hansford, Will Guppy & Jamie Danoris is with Neemo Nixon & Finlay West scoring for the Hammers. It finished 2-2 at the Camp & Satherley Stadium as Portland United Reserves shared the spoils with Sherborne Town Reserves with Tom Butcher & Jamie Cleaver scoring for the Blues, replying for the Zebras were Harry Boulton & Billy Mullins. Swanage T&H picked up a deserved 3 points after beating Balti Sports 3-0 in the Purbecks, scoring for the Swans were Ogun Gundghu, Jack Hughes & Charlie Brassington. The bottom two at the start of the day went head to head at St Mary’s with Bridport Reserves inflicting another double digit defeat on Sturminster Marshall, this time 10-0, scoring for the Bees were Brad Rowe (x3) Ali Kamara (x2) Josh Baker (x2) Riley Weldon, Ryan Leader & Ryan Gall. The final game took place at the New Cuthbury with Wimborne Town reserves welcoming Westland Sports with the hosts winning 5-2 - Scoring for the hosts were Addwell Chipangura (x3) Scott Arnold & Harry Morgan with Phil Ormrod & Duncan McCabe scoring for the visitors.
Bournemouth Sports & Dorchester Sports was Abandoned in the 96th Minute following the hosts very late equalising goal which sparked some unsavoury scenes which left the Match Referee no alternative than to Abandon the match. The goals were scored by Sam Darlow with a brace for the hosts and Joel Hewitt, also with a brace, scoring for the visitors.
This matter will now be subject to the DCFA's disciplinary processes upon receipt of the Match Official's report.
The League will also investigate the Abandonment in line with League Rule 20 E 5
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
