Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

LEAGUE
Wimborne Town Reserves take over at the top of the table after a 2-0 win at Chapel Gate against Bournemouth Sports, Jamie Johnson scoring a brace for the visitors. Westland Sports picked up a deserved 5-3 win at Alvington against Portland Utd Reserves, scoring for the hosts were Ollie Crisp (x2) Steve Ormrod & Niall Woolard. Replying for the Blues were Josh Camp and a brace from Toby Diaz. Swanage T&H picked up an excellent win on the road as they beat hosts Merley CS 2-1 with Cody Moore & Daniel Reeks notching for the Swans with Charlie Shears getting Merleys consolation.
DORSET SENIOR TROPHY
Holt United made it through to the Semi finals after a 4-2 win at the Avenue against hosts Dorchester Sports. Scoring for the Bulls were Corey Elwick, Ali Garard, Scott Bungay & Sonny Wilkinson, replying for the hosts were Owen Peart & Alex Godfrey.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System. At the same time the player registration form(s) should either be scanned across to me or a hard copy be posted to me so that I can complete the registration process.
