Introduction to the;
Dorset Premier Football League
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2019/2020 Season will be contested by 17 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and neighbouring Counties.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League currently sits at Step 7 of the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.

FESTIVE FOOTBALL
In the early game, Balti Sports travelled to Chapel Gate where they beat hosts Bournemouth Sports 3-2 with goal from Jack Summers & a brace from Matt Chambers with Jai Crowther & Jamie Trimble replying for the Home side. Dorchester Sports beat Westland Sports 4-2 at the Avenue Stadium with their goals scored by, Owen Peart, Josh Leake, Dan Sheehy & Joel Hewitt whilst Ollie Crisp & Phil Ormrod scored for the Alvington outfit. Portland Utd Res returned from Turlin Moor with maximum points after a 3-0 win against hosts Poole Borough, scoring for the Blues all in the 2nd half were Tom Butcher & 2 from Riley Greenwood. Meanwhile, at Petersham Lane, Holt United beat league leaders Wimborne Town Res 3-2 with Sam Bennett & a brace from Scott Bungay scoring for the Bulls, Jack Hoey scored a brace for the visitors. Biggest scorers of the day were Merley CS who thumped Sturminster Marshall 18-0 at home with Josh Buck (x5) Charlie Shears (x4) Dan Brown (x2) Callum Perry (x2) Thomas Beckett (x2) Owen Reynolds, Michael Trim & Ellis George all scoring for the hosts. In the late games Hamworthy Utd Res & Blandford Utd played out a 1-1 draw at the County Ground with Reuben Stanley scoring for the Royals before Finlay West equalised for the Hammers meanwhile the North Dorset Derby went the way off Sturminster Newton who beat Sherborne Town Res 2-0 at Barnett's field with George Coleman & Elliott Bevis scoring for the hosts.
On 18 July 2020 the FA issued guidelines for the return of outdoor competitive grassroots football.

The DPL Management Committee will be meeting by the end of this coming week to discuss the situation with a proposed Club Secretaries meeting by the end of July.

Having reviewed what was said at the recent AGM, please can I confirm that the club secretaries should register their players on the Whole Game System.
