LEAGUE CUP - SEMI FINALS
We have our finalists .....
Dorchester Sports made it through after a Dylan Ellis strike saw them win in the Purbeck 1-0 at Swanage Town & Herston, joining them in the final will be Hamworthy United Reserves who beat Portland United Reserves 3-0 at Magna Road with their goals courtesy of Brad Hill [x2] & Elliott Birtwhistle.
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2022/2023 Season will be contested by 18 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and South Somerset, 9 of which have Floodlights and all 18 have an AED device in or adjacent to their facility.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League is now classed as a Regional NLS Feeder League that sits just outside the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's England Football Accredited League Status.
