Dorchester Sports winning run continues after a 6-0 win at Home against Hamworthy Utd Res, Bournemouth Sports win 4-1 in an entertaining game at Blandford Utd. Wareham Rangers picked up 3 very valuable points as they beat Poole Borough 3-2 in the Purbecks. Holt United beat Swanage T&H 3-0 at Petersham Lane, meanwhile, Portland United Res hit Westland Sports for six as they won 6-2 at the Camp & Satherley stadium.
The game between Sherborne Town Res and Balti Sports was Abandoned in the 75th minute due to a medical emergency in the crowd, the score at the time was 4-2 to the hosts.
Our thoughts are with the individual concerned and we wish them a speedy recovery.
UPDATE 16/01/2022 - Following Tests, the Individual is now at Home recovering which is Good News
In the late games, League Leaders Hamworthy Recreation travelled to Cochrams to play Shaftesbury Res and they needed 2 second half goals to win the game 2-0, whilst Sturminster Newton welcomed Merley CS to Barnett's Field with the visitors also winning on the road 2-0 to remain 3 points behind Rec at the top of the table.
DORSET SENIOR TROPHY - Qtr Final
In the remaining Quarter Final tie, Bridport Res welcomed Corfe Castle to St Marys Field, with the hosts progressing into the Semi Finals after a narrow 3-2 win.

28 July 2021 - New guidance issued by the FA regarding heading in football
The league was formed in 1957 and was initially called the Dorset Football Combination League.
The 2021/2022 Season will be contested by 18 teams covering the entire county of Dorset and South Somerset.
The objective of the League on its formation was to increase the standard of football in Dorset, an ideal that still holds true today as the League is now classed as a Regional NLS Feeder League that sits just outside the FA's National League System.
The DPL is proud to have been awarded it's FA Standard Charter League Status.
